We utilize empirically supported behavior analytic interventions to ensure that not only the child but the family members that support them, reach their goals, one point at a time.

GPBG is looking for a dynamic, passionate, energetic individual to perform 1:1 therapy with children ranging in ages from 18 months to 21 years that have been diagnosed with autism.

Job Description

Using skills learned through company paid training, the Behavior Technician provides direct 1:1 behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce problematic behaviors primarily in a center setting. Behavior Technicians will utilize interventions developed out of the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 direct client care utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and naturalistic environment training
  • Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as designed by case manager and trained by case manager or assistant case manager
  • Follow and record data for prescribed toilet training, function living, adaptive, and desensitization protocols
  • Collect, record, and summarize data for observable client behavior
  • Under the supervision of the case manager and/or ACM update and maintain data collection systems and disseminate information to the team
  • Write and submit a clinic note by the end of every session
  • Write and provide a parent note for each session
  • Accept, apply, and provide positive and constructive feedback regarding clinical and professional skills on a regular basis
  • Attend on-going staff education and training on client behavioral and skill acquisition protocols through case management, staff development, and morning meetings
  • Complete assigned readings and objectives
  • Complete daily RBT duties as assigned

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Full-time, part-time
  • Pay: $17.75-$25 per hour
  • Sign-on bonus of $1000. Paid in two payments of $500.

Qualifications:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal relationship skills
  • Desire for continued learning opportunities, and willingness to embrace instruction
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary team members, and a desire to work with young children
  • Reliable attendance record
  • Must complete Registered Behavior Technician credential requirements within time frame set forth by BACB (refer to Office Administrator for more information)
  • BA or BS in psychology, social work, special education or related field preferred. Will consider individuals who have nearly completed their degrees
  • Must be able to run, jump, crawl, bend, kneel and stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs with assistance
